In Canada’s open society, aging is still an uncomfortable topic for mainstream media—but PhotoSensitive has decided to tackle it and shine light onto the lives of older adults with black and white photography. Canada's photographers are turning their collective lens to reexamine what it means to age.

Jimmy Laughlin has lived in Chilliwack, BC in the Camp River area his whole life.He is nearing 90. His wife died several years ago and he still lives alone on the original farm.His biggest passion, beyond family, is flying his single-seat, dual engine ultra-light plane up and down the eastern Fraser Valley.When the weather is right he tries to fly every day.Jimmy crashed once, but the plane took the worst of it. “Scared the crap out of me,” he says.But nothing will stop him from doing what he loves.
