Leah has survived breast cancer twice; she battled cancer while pregnant and recovered from open-heart surgery. She considers herself not merely a survivor, but a thriver, like so many of the courageous women she has met on her journey. Leah is a founding member of the Young and the Breastless group and volunteers for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.    Leah a survécu deux fois au cancer du sein; elle a combattu un cancer alors qu'elle était enceinte et s'est remise d'une opération à cœur ouvert. À ses yeux, elle ne fait pas que survivre. Elle se voit plutôt comme une survivante qui s'épanouit, comme bon nombre des femmes courageuses qui ont croisé son chemin.
