The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), one of Canada's leading grant-making foundations, is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

The OTF's vision is a catalyst that enables Ontarians to work together to enhance the quality of life in their communities. It believes that communities across Ontario are rich in talent, creativity and drive, and its grants stimulate communities to build on these assets.

Its mission is to build healthy and vibrant communities throughout Ontario by strengthening the capacity of the voluntary sector, through investments in community-based initiatives.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation awarded OSEA a grant to help produce the Energy Project.

The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) inspires and enables the people of Ontario to improve their environment, their economy and their health by producing clean, sustainable energy in their homes and their communities.

Its community - staff, interns, volunteers, members, friends and supporters - are actionists (as opposed to activists) looking for (and working on) solutions. They work pro-actively to build bridges between stakeholders and seek ways to improve Ontario's energy system collaboratively recognizing that community, industry and government should all play a role in shaping our energy future. Its four primary activities are:

Researching Best Practices Building Capacity at the Grassroots
Advocating the Benefit of Communities
Hosting Events and an Online Community
