TIEd TOGETHER LAUNCHES IN TORONTO
Over 100 photos plus 10 interviews shown on a touchscreen unit
TIEd Together, a black-and-white multimedia exhibition documenting Canadians' experiences with prostate cancer, launched in Toronto on Tuesday January 10th.
Produced in partnership with Prostate Cancer Canada, 100+ images were on display along with ten video interviews.
PhotoSensitive's first launch of 2012 drew over 100 guests, who came to view the images and hear the stories of prostate cancer survivors and their loved ones.
PhotoSensitive's coordinator James Burns acted as MC for the evening, speaking about the partnership between PhotoSensitive and Prostate Cancer Canada, and the dedication of survivors and photographers who helped to make the show a success.

TIEd Together videos live online
To coincide with the launch of TIEd Together in Toronto, the exhibition website is now showing 10 short films, all interviews with prostate cancer survivors or their loved ones.

PhotoSensitive photographer, Kelly Gauthier, has recently started an art and photo therapy practice in Toronto.
With an honours degree in stills photography and a master's degree in art therapy, Kelly now focuses on how therapeutic photography can help those living with illness.
She says, "I believe that understanding, acceptance and healing can all be found through photographs and it is the meaning contained within the borders of an image that allows the process to begin."
She offers individual counselling and group workshops.

PHOTOSENSITIVE PHOTOGRAPHERS AND 36 FRAMES
A large number of PhotoSensitive photographers are getting involved in an exciting new photographic project organized by Toronto photographer Peter Martin, entitled 36 Frames.
The idea of the project is for a camera, containing 36 frames on Tri-X film, to travel across Canada and the US and have each of 36 photographers take a self-portrait, using just one frame of the roll. So, no pressure.
The resulting show will be a unique display of self-portraits of some of Canada's best shooters, including PhotoSensitive photographers Andrew Stawicki, Andy Clark, Boris Spremo, Dave Cooper, Dick Loek, Erin Elder, Hugh Wesley, Peter Bregg, Peter Robertson, Steve Simon and Yuri Dojc.
The camera is about to start its travels and we will keep you updated on its progress.
